Deeper

Well, I am Magnus, and I am Norwegian. Probably that explain my name, which sounds really strange in English. Basically, I am a pretty normal person, with a love for classical music, grammar (hate mistakes, but make them myself) and movies. I have strong opinions, but people rarely understand what I mean so I tend to keep more to myself and some of the people I talk to (although, most of them misunderstand me as well).

Currently I am attending upper secondary school not far from where I live, where I am in art studies. The art line consist of the following subjects:

I have no longer got any idea as to what I want to be, but I would love to work with music, perhaps as a classical vocalist.

Often, I laugh far too much. I don't like sitting still for long periods. Or short periods for that matter, at least not without anything to do. The only times I can sit down for a longer period of time are when watching movies and while in class at school. I can laugh at anything, but seeing I say quite a few stupid things I laugh at myself a lot.

Though it might not be so good, I love spending money. I feel sorry for the people in Africa and Asia and such not having clean water, but should I live without spending any money as long as they is poverty in the world? Probably somewhat selfish, but I think everyone is.

I love anything within movies, including, but not limited to, comedies, thrillers, action and so on. In music, I prefer classical vocal music. Mostly, I like Mozart, Bellini, Verdi, Vivaldi and Puccini, but of course there are other ones as well. So Rossini, Donizetti, Graun, Händel and so on are welcome as well. My favourite singers include Maria Callas, Joan Sutherland, Renée Fleming, Natalie Dessay, Elizabeth Parcells, Anna Moffo and more.

I have no religion. I don't believe in that stuff. The reason why I am against religion is because I think it is brain washing. People walk around believing in a God that they think will save them, yet there is no piece of evidence to support him/her even existing. He is said to be allmighty, but that in itself is contradicting. I mean, that would say that he can create a rock so heavy that he can't lift it himself, but to be allmighty, he must be able to lift it. And if he can lift it, he has not managed to create a rock so heavy that he can't lift it. I need to see things before I believe it, or at least some evidence it is real. Also, how many wars through time have not been about religion? Religion is destructive. But then again, so are humans by nature also. Religion has undoubtably been an important part of building civilizations, bringing people together and all, but I don't think it has much purpose anymore. And it is perfectly OK that people have chosen to believe in that stuff, I respect them even though I don't believe in what they do.

Currently my life is school, school, school, homework, sleeping and school. And of course some movies and music.

As of now, that is me. Or at least fractions of me. I am far more interesting in real life, but you probably will never know that.

As an artist

I do concider myself an artist, or at least a creator of art. I began creating digital artwork (if my earliest attempts of this can even be related to anything named art) in the early summer of 2004. I am mostly self taught, so I rely on myself when creating graphics and learning things. Of course, a few tutorials have been used, but most of my knowledge comes from experimenting for hours and hours. Today I feel I have reached a point where I am pleased with most of my art, and I feel comfortable working within several styles of digital art.
